Born un Colombes, France, in 1987, Clara Cornu gets her formal training at the Beaux-Arts in Dijon, in Seoul, Korea and at the Arts décoratifs in Strasbourg. In the last part of her path, paint becomes her main medium and she works with so called traditional techniques: painting on wood, tempera, pigment in rabbit skin glue… Inspired by surrounding reality and by a work of high finesse on translating observations to her own reality, her painting builds slowly on a personal mythology. She paints figures on the side of cylinders, wooden spheres or glass panes, sizing the support for each project.
